BIODIVERSITY

Home to hundreds of rare, endemic and endangered species, the Park is one of the most important protected areas for biodiversity conservation in the Albertine Rift.

PROTECTION

Protecting the Park requires a continuous presence on the ground, supported by responsive and adaptive strategies to deter poaching and prevent emerging threats.

COMMUNITIES

Nearly 500,000 people from Indigenous and local communities live around the Park. Their livelihoods and future are closely linked to its conservation.
